2018 Kia Rio Sedan & 5-Door | Just the Highlights:

Since the 2018 model marks a complete redesign, there's a lot of new and noteworthy features, design, and style to cover, so for right now, we've cherry-picked some of our favorites:

  • Both the sedan and the 5-door hatchback versions to offer available Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB).
  • Tech and convenience are easy to find thanks to available 7-inch touchscreen interface with Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™.
  • The all-new 2018 Kia Rio has had its exterior updated, with the front fascia bearing its own iteration of Kia's "tiger-nose" grille, which integrates well into the Rio's overall sportier, more aggressive aesthetic.
  • Larger dimensions translate into a more comfortable, spacious cabin. The sedan offers up 89.9 cubic-feet of passenger space, while the 5-door hatchback sees 90.5 cubic-feet.
  • More passenger space is met by ample cargo space, with the sedan offering 13.7 cubic-feet of space and the 5-door hatch giving you 17.4 cubic-feet behind the seats, which moves to a capacious 32.8 cubic-feet of cargo room when the seats are folded down.

“Value has always been a core tenet for the Kia brand and the all-new Rio sedan and 5-door continue to underscore our commitment to those buyers looking for an entry-level vehicle but desire more than what the subcompact segment currently offers,” said Orth Hedrick, vice president of product planning, KMA. “This fourth-generation Rio makes significant improvements over its predecessor in design, technology and passenger comfort, resulting in an even better value proposition for our customers, while raising the bar in the small-car segment.” —from an April 12, 2017 Kia Press Release
