See what the redesigned 2019 Kia Sorento has in store for shoppers

The LA Auto Show took place in November of 2017 and Kia turned heads with the redesigned 2019 Kia Sorento. On the outside the 2019 Kia Sorento will sport an updated front and rear fascia, headlight and taillamp designs, and there are three new wheel designs ranging from 17- to 19-inches, but that's just the beginning.

In previous models the 7-passenger seating was optional. For 2019 the 3rd row will now be standard on the crossover. Looking under the hood, the 2.4L and 3.3L V6 engine offerings will still be available, but Kia is going to drop the 2.0L turbocharged engine. There will still be five trims to choose from: L, LX, EX, SX, and SXL.

On the technology front we like what we're seeing with upgrades. For example, there'll now be an option to get wireless charging if you have an Android or Apple iPhone and iPhone X cell phone; no more getting tangled up in wires and it'll be a great conversation starter.

Kia is also offering more robust advanced safety features on the Kia Sorento. Now the EX trim and up will have standard Forward Collision Warning, Smart Cruise Control, Blind Spot Detection, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and a Surround View Monitor. They'll also be an all-new addition of Lane Keeping Assist and Driver Attention Warning to alert drivers if they appear drowsy or inattentive.

The 2019 Kia Sorento is set to arrive in early 2018. You can contact us at Kia of Wilmington to stay up to date on its arrival. In the meantime, check out this video of the Kia Sorento completely out of its expected element, but owning the terrain nonetheless.
