2021
2021 marks 9 years that we have partnered with the United Way of Delaware to assist with their fundraising efforts, where donors are entered into a drawing to win a brand new Kia! This year, we offered a choice of a 2021 Kia Seltos Lease OR $8,500 in cash (the equivalent to the total lease term payments). Due to Covid restrictions leading up to the final drawing, many events occurred via Zoom-type meetings this year. So the United Way selected 4 Finalists leading up to the annual winner drawing, which coincided with the United Way of Delaware's Annual Meeting. Present at the meeting were 3 out of the 4 Finalists, all of whom donated to the United Way of Delaware through their workplace campaigns. The United Way of Delaware had over 2,000 names that the finalists were chosen from, and at $100 minimum donation per name, that's at least $200,000 that we were able to help the United Way of Delaware raise this year!!
2020
2020 marks 8 years of our partnership with the United Way of Delaware campaign where donors were entered into an annual drawing to win their choice of a 2020 Kia Forte GT-Line Sedan Lease OR $8,500 in cash (the equivalent to the total lease term payments). This year's winner, David Spritzer, donated to the United Way of Delaware through the workplace campaign his employer, DuPont, has in place. David opted to go with the $8,500 cash payout, and just like the 2019 winner, elected to contribute a portion of those winnings BACK to the United Way of Delaware as additional donation! Congratulations to David, and thank you for your contributions!
As always, all the donations from the raffle benefit the United Way's Community Impact Fund that addresses early childhood reading, education, income, and health. Kia of Wilmington is proud to support our local community, and we are proud to partner with the United Way of Delaware.

2019
2019 marks the 7th year that we have partnered with the United Way of Delaware in their fund raising campaigns to select a winner of a New vehicle. For the last 7 years, United Way campaign donors have been entered into the annual drawing to win either a brand new vehicle or cash by contributing to the United Way's annual fund raising Campaigns. This incentive for donors to contribute has helped the United Way of Delaware raise hundred of thousands of dollars for charitable use. In 2019, the winner of the drawing elected to go with the cash offering and gave back a portion of the proceeds to the United Way of Delaware! All the donations from the raffle benefit United Way's Community Impact Fund that addresses early childhood reading, education, income, and health. We are proud to continue to partner with and support the United Way of Delaware.

Sue, an elementary school teacher who claims she has "never won anything" was very happy to hear the news that she won. 2016
2016 marks the 4th year in a row that our Kia of Wilmington store has partnered with the United way of Delaware in their fundraising campaigns to select a winner of the New Kia vehicle, and in this year's case, TWO winners! The 2016 'Do More 24' United Way campaign winner was Shai Harris, who's affiliation with the campaign was through the Kingswood Community Center of Wilmington Delaware; which actually received some of the most support during the Do More 24 campaign. The 2016 Drive for Delaware United Way campaign winner was Carla Morris, an assistant professor in the University of Delaware's Associate in Arts Program in Dover, Delaware. The United Way of Delaware's work of focusing on reading by third grade, college and career readiness, and financial stability and empowerment in communities makes all of Delaware better, and it is a simple choice for AutoTeam Delaware and Kia of Wilmington to support the United Way of Delaware. Congratulations to each of the 2016 winners, and our sincerest thanks to the United Way of Delaware for their partnership.

They have some incredible programs in this state... I see their work everyday in my work. I think it's probably the greatest cause I could give to."
2014
In 2014, the United Way of Delaware's "Drive For Delaware" campaign winner was Gary E. Dowlin, a long-time UPS employee, who won a brand new 2014 Kia Soul! Â UPS, one of the United Way's longest contributing donors, was very excited to see one of their employees win the new Soul!
The Drive for Delaware raffle was a special addition to United Way of Delaware's 2014 fundraising campaign, and brought in nearly 3,000 contributors and over $570,000 for the community. Â Thanks to the United Way of Delaware, and Congratulations, again, Gary! | Â |
2013
In 2013, the United Way of Delaware & Kia of Wilmington presented a brand new 2013 Kia Soul to Linda DiSabatino, winner of the United Way's 2013 campaign. Linda, a Catholic Charities worker and 39-year contributor to the United Way, couldn't have been a better recipient!
  | "I'm very, very excited. I have never ever won anything in my life so it's been a week, and I'm still not sure about it," she says. "Catholic Charities was one of the first recipients of United Way funding way back when so it's a nice connection," she says. Vice President of United Way John Moore is proud to give back to a long-time donor. "And what a great way to receive this, someone's who been donating for 39 years, and all the work she's been doing, selflessly, giving to the United Way what a great gesture to give back," says Moore.

General Manager for AutoTeam Delaware, Matthew Kersey, looks forward to helping with the raffle again. "It felt really good. Most of the other times when you see car giveaways, there's some kind of contest, and it was really nice to see someone actually get it, and also someone who's so involved with United Way," says Kersey.
All the donations from the raffle benefit United Way's Community Impact Fund that addresses education, income, and health.
