Introducing the All-New Kia Seltos

Drivers in the West Chester area are gaining a new Kia SUV option in 2022 from Kia. Known as the Kia Seltos, this vehicle is larger than the Soul but smaller than the Sportage. For many families in Newark, DE, it will be the perfect size and come with the right features for daily life.

Capability

The standard engine for the Seltos is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder that will generate 147 horsepower and 132 pound-feet of torque. This engine pairs nicely with the standard Intelligent Variable Transmission. While front-wheel-drive is standard on the S trim, most models will give you Dynamax™ full-time all-wheel-drive, which uses sensors to monitor road conditions constantly and can make changes as necessary.

Also available on top trims is a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine. With this, your Seltos will give you 175 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque. Any model with this engine will pair it with a seven-speed quick-shift automatic transmission.

Safety

Here at Kia of Wilmington, we love how many driver aids are available on the Seltos. All models give you a tire pressure monitoring system as well as a rear-seat reminder. Also found on all trims, excluding the entry-level LX, are useful features such as a driver attention warning, lane departure warning, automatic high beams, lane following assist, and lane-keep assist. The EX trim and up will add a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert. Technology

Most models of the new Seltos will give Salem, NJ drivers a beautiful eight-inch touchscreen for running the infotainment system. Going with the SX Turbo means getting a 10.25-inch screen instead. Smartphone integration is a simple task thanks to the standard Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Elkton NJ drivers can also use Siri Eyes Free. A six-speaker audio system is standard. Once again, the SX Turbo kicks things up to the next level with a premium Bose sound system. It also adds a wireless charging pad for added convenience.
